JOB DESCRIPTION

Conduct assessments and reports

  • Intake assessment, include interpreting results and reports and conduct direct assessment to determine the suitability of students for class placements
  • Psychological assessment, competent in administrating psychological tools
  • Functional behaviour assessments.
  • Mental capacity assessment
  • Adaptive skill assessment

Deliver interventions/Case Work

  • To formulate evidence-based and data-driven intervention plan in collaboration of multidisciplinary team
  • Identify and prioritise behaviour to intervene using EBP
  • Implement intervention plan for cases including teaching others to implement the intervention
  • Monitor progress of the intervention through data collection
  • Review and adjust intervention guided by data collected

Build stakeholder relationship

  • Provide psychological inputs to other specialised departments and relevant professionals
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and improve students/client care services. E.g. IEP meetings, case management meetings

Maintain, professional, legal and ethical standards

  • Adhere to professional standards of practice, i.e. legal and ethical practices within the scope of competency
  • Adhere to policies and procedures for professional practices
  • Identify areas of improvement on model of care and service delivery based on evidence-based practice. Ensure quality services are deliver to students and clients

Uplift professional practice in Psychology

  • Participate in continuing professional development
  • Deliver Psychoeducation program in the area of practice
  • Provide guidance to peers and interns

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

– A Master degree in Psychology, preferably with some relevant working experience

– Registered Psychologist with Singapore Psychological Society or a Recognised Psychological Board

– Able to relate well to people and work effectively and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team setting

– Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills

– Must have strong critical thinking skills to determine an accurate diagnosis and develop a proper treatment plan

– Proficient in MS Office

– Able to work independently and effectively under pressure

– Experience with special needs children/adults would be an added advantage
