Daily Living Skills (DLS)

The Daily Living Skills (DLS) curriculum in SAMS strives to nurture students to become active participants and contributors in the society, who thinks and behaves responsibly, for himself and others. The curriculum is adapted from MOE’s DLS curriculum which aims to equip students with functional skills that will enable them to care for themselves and their well-being, as well as empower them to participate and exercise greater independence at home, in the community and in productive activities including employment. Please see the visual below for a summary of the five key areas of skills addressed in DLS [adapted from (SEB-MOE, 2021) Daily Living Skills – Teaching & Learning Syllabus].
