This is the first year SAMS participated in Play Inclusive 2025, on 23 August, teaming up with students from our partner school, Keming Primary. We registered for the Badminton sports category.
The team had at least 5 combined training sessions leading up to the event. With little or no experience in Badminton at all, they had to work on fundamental skills like service and basic strokes. However, it was a great opportunity for the athletes of the 2 schools to build friendships and camaraderie as a team.
They put in their best effort and demonstrated good sportsmanship. Although the day was long, they had great fun together simply by enjoying one another’s company at the games booth and meal time too.
The highlight of the day was a very touching moment when the opponent came over to help with tying the shoelaces for one of the students. It was indeed very heart-warming to see such acts of kindness in action.
