Teaching Positions
Job Description
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Except Wednesday), 7 am to 4 pm.
Wednesday 7 am to 1.30 pm
Working Location: Bukit Batok
- Deliver clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism
- Play an important role in the planning and development of curriculum and programmes to facilitate student learning
- Exhibits deep commitment to the holistic education and development of students
- Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students
- Understand students’ diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities and potential through observations, diagnoses and discussions (with students, parents and colleagues), and adapts approaches accordingly
- Work collaboratively with a multi-professional team and parents in providing quality education and feedback for students.
- Plan and write IEP lesson plans, reports, records and documentation.
- Guide and coach Teacher Aides
Job Requirements
- Recognised Degree or Polytechnic Diploma
- Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education is preferred
- 5 credits in GCE ‘O’ level with a pass in English and Mathematics is mandatory
- Preferably 3 years of experience at primary level
- Familiar with national curriculum
- Demonstrate passion in teaching
- Experience in teaching children and youths with autism will be an added advantage

- Support teachers in lesson preparation and the implementation of lesson plan (eg. able to conduct small group teaching).
- Support teachers to achieve and monitor students’ individualised goals and objectives.
- Assist students in areas of self-care and grooming.
- Support teachers in collecting data on behaviour and progress of students, whenever necessary.
- Collaborate and support teachers in classroom management matters such as planning and implementing student’s behaviour plans, lesson progress, etc.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (including families/caregivers) to facilitate administrative processes.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of the students in School.
Job Requirements
- Possess at least a Diploma (preferably in Early Childhood Care & Education).
- Prior experience as a Teacher Aide or experience in teaching would be an added advantage.
- Energetic and passionate to work with children with autism.
- Desire to learn about autism and the patience to teach special needs students.
- Passion to help special needs students maximise their talents and potential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
Candidates who possess GCE ‘O’ Level qualification (with at least 3 credits including a pass in English) and has prior experience as a Teacher Aide or in Teaching would be considered for this role.

- Teach modulated visual art-skills which includes basic drawing, painting, printmaking and knowledge in art fundamentals
- Assess, document, and communicate the development, progress and attainment of students
- Develop student art portfolio
- Plan, organise and coordinate department and school programmes
- Maintain positive teacher-student relationship
- Monitor students’ social and emotional well-being
- Work with parents and relevant stakeholders, if necessary
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective function of the work unit
- Guide and coach Teacher Aides supporting visual art lessons
Job Requirements
- Recognised Degree or Polytechnic Diploma from any local art institutions or Polytechnics
- Possess a Diploma in Art Education will be an added advantage
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching visual arts in school
- Preferably able to work with students with Autism
- Excellent team-player
