JOB DESCRIPTION
- Cares and nurture every child. Demonstrates a passion for the subject of teaching
- Delivers clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism
- Works with HOD and plays an important role in the organisation of curriculum and supporting programmes to facilitate student learning
- Exhibits deep commitment to the holistic education and development of his students
- Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students
- Guides or coaches junior staff or Teacher Aides
- Upholds dignity of profession, champions professional standards and demonstrates sense of mission; encourages others in the team in upholding these values
- Understands students’ diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities and potential through observations, diagnoses and discussions (with students, parents and colleagues), and adapts approaches accordingly
- Attends to the administrative tasks in the running of the class
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Preferably 3 – 6 years of experience at primary level
Experience in LSP/LSM/SDR will be an added advantage
Experience working with children with autism will be an advantage
Polytechnic Diploma or Degree
