JOB DESCRIPTION
Cares and nurture every child. Demonstrates a passion for the subject of teaching
Delivers clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism
Works with HOD and plays an important role in the organisation of curriculum and supporting programmes to facilitate student learning
Exhibits deep commitment to the holistic education and development of his students
Works collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students
Guides or coaches junior staff or Teacher Aides
Upholds dignity of profession, champions professional standards and demonstrates sense of mission; encourages others in the team in upholding these values
Understands students’ diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities and potential through observations, diagnoses and discussions (with students, parents and colleagues), and adapts approaches accordingly
Attends to the administrative tasks in the running of the class
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Preferably 3 – 6 years of experience at primary level
Experience in LSP/LSM/SDR will be an added advantage
Experience working with children with autism will be an advantage
Polytechnic Diploma or Degree
